Tape Art Exhibition Taiwan (Kaohsiung)

Nachdem Tape That ihre bisher größte internationale Solo-Ausstellung 2019 in Taipeh, Taiwan eröffnet haben und dafür u.A. mit dem Red Dot Design Award ausgezeichnet wurden kam das Tape Art Kollektiv 2022 zurück nach Taiwan. Diesmal gestalteten sie neben lebhaften interaktiven Rauminstallationen, gerahmten Kunstwerken und Skulpturen auch einen kompletten Zug (Kaohsiung Light Rail Train) der im Zuge der Ausstellung und des Taiwan Lantern Festivals als fahrendes Kunstwerk in der Stadt unterwegs war. Das Besondere – Teile des Zuges wurden mit einem fluoreszierendem Tape beklebt, dass bei nacht begann im Dunklen von alleine zu leuchten.

After Tape That opened their largest international solo exhibition to date in Taipei, Taiwan, in 2019, for which they received the Red Dot Design Award, the tape art collective returned to Taiwan in 2022. This time, in addition to vibrant interactive room installations, framed artworks, and sculptures, they also designed an entire train (Kaohsiung Light Rail Train) moving in the city as a moving work of art as part of the exhibition and the Taiwan Lantern Festival. The unique feature is that parts of the train were covered with fluorescent tape that began to glow in the dark at night.
