My Project for Project Management

This final project captures the entire process of building and launching an online store from scratch over the course of 8 weeks. It covers each crucial step, from choosing a name and buying a domain, to uploading products, running tests, and going live. This timeline was designed to be efficient, collaborative, and goal-oriented, with key milestones aligned to ensure a successful launch.

As part of this project, I engaged in creative decision-making, technical implementation, and marketing strategy applying everything I learned in the course to a real-world e-commerce scenario. Whether it’s designing the website or preparing for promotions, every detail was carefully timed and executed with purpose.

Project Management Tools: Google Sheets, Excel (for Gantt-style planning)

🧠 Brainstorming the Brand Identity

The very first step in launching the online store was to brainstorm a name that aligned with the brand’s identity, mission, and target audience. This involved:
Generating a list of potential names that were catchy, meaningful, and available as domains

Checking domain availability through platforms like Namecheap and GoDaddy

Considering how the name would look and sound across social media platforms, logos, and packaging

Asking for feedback from peers or team members to ensure memorability and clarity

💡 Tip: A good brand name is easy to spell, reflects your product or vibe, and has domain + social media availability.
