Pressed for regection

This is an extremely exciting project for me. I decided to do something about the extreme negativity I was experiencing while looking for work and facing constant rejection on a dayly basis. What I then did was to take inspiration for the "Work Life" podcast by Adam Grant and turn my situation on it's head.

Every time I got regected by a new client or a new potential employer I illustrated a new cute monster that I called the monsters of rejection. At some point getting rejected even made me happy because it meant I could make a new illustration in this series. I even got great feedback from my following and refined the style I illustrated them in.

In short this project is one that turn negativity into excitement and positivity.

The only tool I used for this project was procreate on my IPad. Sometimes we should ceep it simple

Step 1: Get rejected
Before I could start drawing I first needed to actually get rejected.

Step 2: Sketch
Do a rough sketch of the number I wanted to draw next.

Step 3: Fill
Fill the base colours of the fur, wings, claws, eyes, ext.

Step 4: Shade and texture
Add shading and texture too the base colours

Step 5: Depth
Add depth to the back ground of the illustration
