It combines the technical aspect of the industry, including terminology, licensing, contracts, rates, etc. and at the same time Allison Cole provides an entire walkthrough of her design process from sketch to the final product along with tips of how to get started and allowing your work to be seen by the right people and companies. It's one of those courses where you can't wait to get started on your own projects!!

It’s so easy to get overwhelmed by the business side of things if you’re a Creative. But Allison Cole just made it very accessible (and maybe even fun?) to someone like me who’s starting out. Arm yourselves with a notepad and a pen! You’d want to take notes as much as you can!

Teacher explains terminology of licensing and contracts in an easy to understand way. Great visuals and inspiration on product design types.
Teacher takes you through her entire creative process from inspiration to creating a print by hand, scanning and then creating a repeat in photoshop in an easy to follow way.
Wish there was a little more info on creating a full contract and on half drop repeats.

Great info. Well structured class. Information was presented very well. I enjoyed it and learned a lot. Especially appreciated royalty percentages information and how to structure repeating patterns. Instructor Allison Cole was likeable and spoke in a measured, pleasant voice that was clear and precise.

A very insightful course into to world of pattern making. Alison explains the process from start to finish really well. Her artwork is so lovely to look at and inspiring too.
