Joa House

Casa Joá

This house, located in the Morro do Joá community in Rio de Janeiro, boasts an interior that is always in contact with the outdoors. Architect Paulo Jacobsen's design features a very lightweight structure to avoid damaging the lush forest surrounding the house. When I saw the design, my initial intention was to bring the forest into the house, which was the architect's goal, and to photograph it to maximize the water mirror that surrounded the house and reflected the architecture and nature.
