Introduction
Inspired by nature, I will try to create a panel of transparent, moving sails to be placed against the light.

Supplies
The support will be made up of 2 transparent linen or cotton panels.
For a bit of fun (I often work in dark colors) I chose a fluorescent color for the foliage.
Tulle in various colors as well as sewing thread and embroidery cotton in matching colors.
Scissors, needle, sewing machine (not necessary).
Time, calm and application.

Tests
I take a little time to do some research: color tests, thread thickness, stitch length, leaf shape. Stitch tests so that the fabric does not wrinkle, take your time.

TRACING AND APPLICATION OF LIANES
Drawing the vines and cutting them out of the dark tulle.
I then place them on the light linen background and prick them in the middle.
This creates vertical traces, with natural and random curves, of different lengths and thicknesses.

CREATION OF LEAVES
Fun step; I layer layers of tulle in various colors and draw leaves of various sizes.
Then I stitch them with the machine before cutting them out.

LIANES EMBROIDERY
On the second blank panel, I embroider the long vertical lines with large stitches using embroidery cotton.
The trace corresponds more or less to the dark vines applied to the veil.
I pin the sheets to it as the work progresses; it must remain light.
We can add more later.

FIXING THE SHEETS
With the machine or by hand, I attach the leaves to the front and back of the fabric with small stitches. This will create nuances through transparency.

ASSEMBLAGE
Superposition of the 2 transparent panels and fixing on a bleached wooden slat.
This step is not finished, I am sorry but I am in a hurry due to the deadline for the Domestika competition
