Good course if you want to develop in editorial illustrations

I liked Emmas informal and welcoming approach, her "quirky" style and the explanations of her processes, particularly the tip, to use of grayscale before deciding on colour. Very helpful. Plus quickly building a folder of images by dragging and dropping them into a folder from either Google or Pinterest (I used to save the images but Emma's way was much faster). What stood out most was her interaction with her students, promptly responding to your postings/concepts, in a very positive way.

I really appreciate the length of the course. A smaller course like this makes the topic more approachable! The inclusivity checklist was a very nice and unexpected bonus in the course; I will hold it close to heart. As for the photoshop tutorials, I found the coloring-part lacking in explanation, and I struggle to execute the steps shown because the voiceover does not explain the actual commands. All in all, I am pleased, but will have to do more research to complete the main course task.

Very nice introduction to editorial illustration, nice that she focuses on providing a method for finding inspiration, it is not that obvious, and to the process, so it offers rich content for such a small course.

An okay course.

Great course! It's not a very long one which is nice but Emma goes over her entire illustration process which is simply awesome! Highly recommend it!

Cours très précis avec un réel focus sur l'illustration éditoriale pour magazine ! De très bons conseils et astuces pour appliquer une méthodologie carrée, et organiser efficacement son travail de création. Emma est très pédagogue et claire dans ses explications. Je recommande ce cours 😊

The course is a very broad take on Editorial Illustration. I like the fact that the instructor touched a bit on social norms and how we need to be inclusive & be mindful of possible social tropes we may unconsciously be using in our interpretation of the text.The only thing I wish was covered were a few tips on how to get your feet through the door.The illustration industry is a wonderful & supportive community but can be highly competitive as well. Just wish some tips on that were touched on.
