Introduction
Rawr'uwu (or, Uwu, for short) is the sorcerer Tabaxi of one of my friend/party member's characters in our D&D campaign. She's an energetic, kitten of a Tabaxi who doesn't quite know how the world works, but she does know that it has shiny things, and she wants them. While my friend brought the character to life in personality, I worked with her to bring Uwu to life visually.

Rawr'uwu Render
This piece was a lot of firsts for me. It was my first real foray into designing magic SFX, but it was also my first real attempt at designing and painting an anthropomorphic character. I learned a lot, and I'm grateful to have had the chance to paint her.

Flat Colors
At this phase, I lower the opacity of my lines and paint underneath them to make a strong silhouette of local colors. As we progressed the campaign, Uwu also obtained a book that she started drawing in, so I wanted to design that for her as well (even if it's ultimately hidden in the final render).

Line Art & Final Sketch
Once we had the final agreed upon design mockup, I worked to line the whole piece. It was a lot of fun thinking of the little details, like the bells tied to her cloak.

Costume Concept Sketches
Once I knew that my friend wanted Uwu in a robe, I set off to design a couple. I also took the chance to explore a couple of magic effects in preparation of painting the final piece.

Early Sketches
As said above, this was my first real foray into designing an anthropomorphic character. The early phase of which was certainly rough. I'm proud to be able to look at where Uwu started in comparison to how she ended up.
