Pamela_P "evokes an extraordinary design philosophy and unique edge with the newly launched mono-brand that specialises in producing bespoke, personalized, artisanal handbags.
London based designer, Monisola Omotoso draws inspiration from vintage textile sewing techniques. Developed by elevating a traditional textile method from the 18th century, that is equally visual and functional, into something more contemporary, Italian Quilting has become the brand's identity.
“I created this collection because I wanted women to feel special in the knowledge that every item is made to order, in our London atelier with a view to maintaining levels of craftsmanship that I was taught by my mum”
The individual undertones of the Pamela_P brand deeply resonate at the heart of Moni’s range. The Percivale collection showcases Moni’s love for shape and form. Launching with one style, the Percivale, imagined in three ways; Core, Directional and Special, the inspiration was influenced by the idea of Same but Different."
Core
Your staples enhancing collection features one bag in a selection of five mouth-watering colours that slip seamlessly into your wardrobe. These sculptural works of art are produced in the softest Cabretta gloving leather which hails from the long-haired goat that roams in South America and Nigeria. It features our signature all-over textural Italian quilting, finished with metal zippers and hardware in a gunmetal tone. The strap can be worn across the body or shortened to sit on the shoulder.
Directional
The Directional piece features a central stripe in black or ivory. It's further elevated with the addition of a beautiful strap. Part-woven, by hand, the chain strap is attached to an adjustable leather strap and is worn across the body.
Special
Taking its inspiration from the Art Deco movement, the wrist clutch is part-quilted in Duchesse silk satin. It features a central panel that’s hand-embellished with vintage diamante bracelets surrounded by Japanese glass pearls and Toho beads. Available in a colour palette of Jade, Silver and Black. All of our bags are lined in fully customisable silks from a selection of nine shades.
Moni has a background in design/product development for well-known brands such as Giles Deacon and Mathew Williamson. Her vast experience in pattern cutting and construction, informs her work and enables the execution of the organic, bulbous forms of the Pamela_P range. She envisioned the fusion of traditional leather craftsmanship and her extensive fashion/textiles background, which would together result in a brand identity that defined her unique vision and particular taste.
The brand identifies itself with its three brand elements: Crafted- because we believe in slow fashion where items are made lovingly with a lot of care and with an attention to the finer details. Sculptural-in appearance, structured in form yet tactile to touch. Understated luxury - for our unique take on Italian quilting requires no unnecessary adornments.
