Lisa Blanco

I grew up in a family of artists - painters, potters, writers. It's been all around me. I am a mixed media Wabi Sabi collage artist but also paint still life, portraits, urban sketch - in watercolors, acrylics and oils.
I've taken many classes in drawing in all mediums, figure drawing, oil painting, gouache, charcoal, acrylics, etc.
It's therapeutic for me, mostly, and in my practicing, I am finding my voice...who I always have been.
I was raised in Arizona and have lived in California and Washington State. I grew up going to Mexico a lot until my teens. I have a love for desert, forest, and ocean/sea settings.
I am a French/Eng/Amer Indian/Spanish/Portuguese, if that matters at all. I speak a bit of Spanish and French. I take a lot of photos in my spare time and am obsessed with macro shots at the moment.
