Shinigami is the second installation in a series of paintings exploring the darker themes of my childhood influences. It describes the fall of humanity into power and corruption. The composition, swarming with demons, makes you relate to and feel pity for the only human being in the painting. Looking closer, however, you see that his heart has already turned.
