I worked on the picture alongside Alex and learned a lot.

A couple of things that struck me:

I tried to use a metal ruler instead of a bone folder - it cut / tore the wet page - next time I'll use plastic!
I only had a uni-ball black pen - the line work has a more uniform (or to use Alex's terms: lifeless) result.
I overworked shadows earlier, didn't trust that I could go darker earlier
My yellow highlights are a bit too pigment dense, and aren't the same color as the base warm light color.
The pigment density in the awnings maybe shows a weakness of the cheaper paints
Despite taping, my paper really wrinkled a lot - though this paper is a lot cheaper than Canson by a long shot!

Overall this was a really great exercise. Feel like I learned strategies and techniques, not just a 'recipe' to follow.
