I would like to thank Alex for the clarity and the excellence of this course!
Thanks to him I was able to choose a subject (this is a castle not far from where I live) to select a good view.
When doing the study, I realised my view wasn't quite the one I wanted, so I changed and did a second study, from another view of the same subject. This is a huge step for me, I never really did thumbnails or studies before, because I didn't see the point. Now I do :)
I also chose to ditch the chimney on the left and the railing, for fear it would make the painting "too busy".
I am happy I did succeed in making something less precious, more dynamic than my usual. (for those who are curious about whet I usually do, I have an instagram account)
I'm still not where I want to be, but art is a path.
