THE MUSEUM BY SLAWOMIR MROZEK
We lost the dog and our son was heartbroken, so I took him to the museum of a famous writer. So he would keep amused and learn something at the same time.
Over the soap, a plaque: "the favorite soap of the writer."
-Can I smell it? -asked a woman.
-Forbidden -announced the guide-. But researchers have confirmed that he used to have a wash every day.
-Look, Dad -shouted my son-. Like at home!
I stared. There it was, there was an empty bottle of vodka under the desk.
I looked around, nobody could see me. I took a pen and wrote under "a literature lover":
"Dog missing. Its return will be rewarded..." And our address.
Many people come to this museum and everyone will read this. So maybe we'll find the dog.
