Here are a few images from my latest typographic exploration; drawing words over found landscape photography.
I've been mostly using royal free stock images and picking out strange or beautiful landscapes - anything that catches my eye and makes me want to draw on. After downloading the photo, I add it to Procreate on my iPad and begin sketching out some ideas.
My aim is to show my hand drawn typography within a different environment, and integrate it somehow to create new works for my portfolio.

These photographs were downloaded for free from Pexels. I uploaded them to a new dartboard in ProCreate on iPad and start drawing. All image creation is done from here on in using there iPad, adjusting layer transparancies to help make my drawings appear within the environment.

I want my typography to remain looking hand drawn, this is my main priority. It's important to me to make the letters appear in the environment, but not too photo-realistic. This, for me, keeps the images looking original and interesting and ties in with the rest of my lettering-based portfolio.
