A5XAR: The Palm Shal

I made a multi-purpose shal, with embroidery inspired by the desert palm tree as part of my fashion brand collection for A5xAR

inspired by the resilience of the palm tree in the harsh desert weather, I wanted to create a Shal that can be used in different ways specifically for travelers. the embroidery features the different parts of the palm tree, from the truck to the leaves and dates. I chose Sashiko embroidery because its used by the working class as a mending technique, which married perfect with the concept of a nomad or a traveler.
