Wishy gouashy

I had a lot of fun with this course. Used two mediums I hadnt really used before: Gouache and colored pencils. Love them both and want to learn how to use them a bit better in the near future. Im not used to working with a lot of color either and this is also something I will need to improve. I learned where my comfortzone is and where it isn't: faces are within my comfortzone and I can draw them from memory. Anything else, I cant draw from memory but I will be practicing a lot so I wont struggle with this in the future. I also really struggle with backgrounds and surroundings, with or without reference, so I will need to work on this a lot.

I made 2 semi-final projects and one final project. The two semi final ones are illustrated memories: one from when I was a teenager and hung around in a park with my best friend all the time, driving my little moped. I like it but its a little safe. The other memory is of my cat who used to always stuck his little nose underneath the entrance of where I used to live. Its a dear memory but the illustration is a bit boring and I would like to revisit this in the future. The final project is just free flow. A lot more daring material and technique wise, but in my comfortzone because there isnt a background. Its more abstract. I really want to improve this and want to do the exercises again in a couple of months after I improved on some of these things hopefully. Thank you for this course!
