Destination City Tourism Poster

My final ruling pen 'tourist poster' project for the city of Los Angeles. I used my cola pen from the instructions for the large letters and boarder, an old drafting ruling pen for the drawing and a parallel pen for the smaller text. It poster highlights places within Los Angeles most tourists avoid. And that is a shame, given the diversity of the city and the many social ecologies it supports. These places just aren't as hyped or as picturesque as the more famous locales. That said, I want to say how much I enjoyed the class and learning new pen and lettering techniques and following up on all the links and references. Excellant!

I was inspired by the teachers use of long rolls of paper in her demos. I used an entire roll of architectural tracing paper doing all the exercises and practise to get to this final image.
