Where does the wind blow?

The installation "Where does the Wind Blows?" does not generate movement or sound, but provides the viewer with an experience of rhythm. It consists of 300 black-painted windmills suspended on the wall in a way that creates a kind of ornamental pattern. The texture evokes an oriental aesthetic, reminiscent of Mashrabiya, hand-painted ceramic tiles, or a geometric pattern from a keffiyeh. A group of more than twenty drums of various types completes the sense of Eastern wind rising from the installation, enhancing the monotonic rhythm created by the repetition and multiplicity of objects. The work also reflects my engagement with simple objects from everyday life, as well as representations of tribal cultures.
