En este libro se habla de lugares así, pero también de una charca donde se esconden los amigos invisibles de los niños reales, de un acantilado donde un misterioso ser sigue conservando, como Peter Pan, su naturaleza de pájaro, de una isla habitada por bebés que se niegan a nacer por considerar humillante que sus madres tengan que cambiarles los pañales, de un bosque habitado por unos hombrecillos verdes que se confunden con la vegetación y que conocen el secreto de la felicidad. Gabriel, el protagonista de este libro, es un niño al que le encanta escuchar las historias que le cuenta su madre a la hora de acostarse. Una noche, el dragón de una de esas historias se presentará en sus sueños y lo llevará a conocer todos estos lugares.
El País de los Niños Perdidos nos enseña que no debemos mantener separado el mundo real del de la fantasía. La realidad necesita de la fantasía para volverse deseable; la fantasía de lo real para poderse compartir con las personas que amamos.

Where do the children we once were go?
Do they take refuge in forgotten places in the world to which, no matter how hard we try, we will never be able to return?

In this book, we talk about such places, but also about a pond where the invisible friends of real children hide, about a cliff where a mysterious being still keeps, like Peter Pan, his bird nature, about an island inhabited by babies who refuse to be born because they find it humiliating that their mothers have to change their diapers, about a forest inhabited by little green men who blend in with the vegetation and who know the secret of happiness. Gabriel, the protagonist of this book, is a little boy who loves to listen to his mother's bedtime stories. One night, the dragon from one of these stories will appear in his dreams and take him to see all these places.
The Land of the Lost Boys teaches us that we should not separate the real world from the fantasy world. Reality needs fantasy to become desirable; dream needs the real to be shared with the people we love.
