Carving Breath

This was one of my first geometric carvings in slate. I carved it at the beginning of lockdown in my little studio living in Scotland. It was whilst carving this particular piece that I realised how much my I valued my craft and the importance of making to my mental health. Carving this was like being able to pause and take a breath.
