Thank you so much for your profound and thoughtful teaching and sharing of your heritage, Atsushi. It's such a gift, to learn from the best. I am a little bit addicted to stitching and try to experiment with threads, colors, fabrics, rhythm, etc. as much as I can. I combined with fabric printing a little bit. When you mentioned, that stitching is the right time for reflecting and contemplating on our loved ones and life in general, I realized that I am in the very present moment when I stitch.

Wow & Wow!! Such a wonderful series of Sashiko Stitching!
For us, Sashiko stitching is NOT "Zen" as Zen's principal is "being empty". It is actually opposite. Sashiko is the time to be full of ourselves (be present) & reflect who we are & what we do.
We all go through the addiction phase... I hope you keep stitching & keep us updated.
Thank you!
Atsushi
@sashikostory Thank you for your kind words! And it helps to know, that everyone is going through the addiction phase :D :D :D! Could beworse, than sinking in fabric and thread and wonderful patterns!
Thank you for the denim examples. I have a pair of jeans I love but has paint splatters. So I’m going to cover the paint with patches of Sashiko stitching.
Wow! I love the solution you made in the middle of each six-petaled rose. Mine have all got a big lump of thread in the middle :o)
your stitches are beautiful
