Right now my husband and I are living in Hawaii, on the island of Oahu. There just aren't very many places to find old furniture here that isn't really expensive - so it took me a while to find the right piece. I found this dresser at a place that sells discarded furniture that has come from resorts and hotels on the island. I just loved the sunshine / sunflower shape on the front of the doors and it was reasonably priced and didn't need any structural work.
I did a color palette based on sunshine - since I chose to interpret the door detail as suns. When I showed my husband some of my ideas I thought for sure he'd think they were too bright, but to my surprise he loved the brightest, most colorful one. So that's what I went with.
We have this odd inset section in our living room wall, which, I assume was originally for large box TVs. Since we're renting, we couldn't really put in shelves or anything, so it's just sat there empty for a year. This dresser fit right inside of it, and now holds my home workout equipment. It definitely brightens up our living room and I can't wait to customize more furniture in the future.

PlusHola María, muy buen proyecto! me encanta el resultado Y me pareció muy interesante cómo juegas con los colores digitalmente. ¿Puedes compartir cómo lo hiciste? ¿O si es un programa específico?
Atentamente,
Helga
