In this series of Paperpulp Vase objects I have used natural pigments such as burnt sienna.

Burnt sienna is an earth pigment and contains a large proportion of anhydrous iron oxide. Earth pigments are naturally occurring minerals that have been used since prehistoric times as pigments. When raw sienna is heated, it becomes a reddish brown and is called burnt sienna.
