Manizales

Manizales is a hotel and spa in Valle de Guadalupe, a popular area richly dotted with vineyards offering fine wine tastings paired with regional cuisine. But Manizales is a destination unto itself: a sanctuary that honors the symbiotic relationship between humans and nature, a place of rest, contemplation, and oneness. The name was inspired by Pablo Neruda, who called Manizales “una fábrica de atadeceres”, a factory of sunsets.

The hotel and spa complex was built exclusively with local materials and designed to feel like a peaceful, embracing nook under the earth. The brand reflects the architecture’s natural sophistication in a clean, simple and understated way. The logo works as an abstraction of Manizales thriving under the sun, both protected and heartened by its life-giving presence. The photography captures an evocative typology of both human and natural elements as representations of the ephemeral and spiritual nature of the place.

We also designed the brand for Café Sol. The hotel’s own little sun-drenched café is the perfect spot to start the day by taking in the landscape’s earthly beauty under the empowering rays of the sun.
