My project for course: Digital Pattern Illustration Inspired by Flora and Fauna

I’d say, the course came to my life just in perfect moment. I always found nature fascinating, and when I’m creating something for myself, in 99% cases it’s animals-related. But as I mostly work in more cartoon style, it was really interesting to me to try a different direction.
For this pattern I chose Madagascar as the main theme. Beautiful and unique plants and animals which could be found only there - that’s what I tried to focus on. Using color-palette with many shades of green was little unusual for me, but I really liked it and will use more often in my art-work. I also prefer to make animals not just elements to fill the space, but characters which could be fun and bring smile to a viewer’s face. Working with textures in case of pattern-design was also new for me, but it gives the final work nice hand-made look and make it more “soulful”, so I definitely will experiment with this technique more.
I’m not sure yet, but I hope, this project could become a start-point for a collection, and I really would like to go this way. I want to thank Laura so much for this course, moving step-by-step, enjoying all details and now seeing a final result is a wonderful journey! :)

¡La composición es muy exitosa, los colores son armoniosos! Que tal las ilustraciones.. son magnificas, realmente tienes un estilo unico y muy bien hecho!! Tienes un enorme talento para hacer patrones, espero que hagas muchos más después de este curso. Me alegra que mis pequeños consejos sobre texturas te sean útiles, también encuentro que le da vida a las creaciones.
