GP-029

This is a good example of how much paint brings to a character. All of the detail is in the original sculpture, of course, but it is paint that brings it to life finally. Cast in latex, these kinds of masks are easy to make, and show a tremendous number of skills and talents in one inexpensive, easy-to-make piece of art; design, sculpting, mold-making, casting, painting and finishing.
This character is called "GP-029", which stand for Genetic Prototype #29. I enjoy making up back stories for the things I make, and this one is no exception.
