The wall-system Fessura synthesizes the Italian attitude to merge Memory with a clear push towards the future. The mysterious sense of illusion and depth of cut-paintings by Lucio Fontana is the inspiration for a tridimensional object, manufactured with the most advanced technologies and materials. Elegance and technology make Fessura an iconic piece, protagonist of a contemporary space.

The design is the result of advanced algorithmic techniques which generate unprecedented geometries and allow the designer to rapidly customize the panel’s digital model to fit specific measures and to generate a machine readable file for manufacturing. Fessura creates a tridimensional and dynamic effect using high-end details and materials. Despite the seamless appearance, each component has been strategically designed for a modular and easy assembly. Fessura consists of nine modules made by LG Hi Macs solid surface (colour code S028) and can be installed on existing walls or in continuity with drywall sheets. The fabrication process consists of three main phases: creation of nine CNC milled modules, CNC cut of planar Hi Macs sheets and thermo/pressure forming. The first prototype (dimensions: 300 cm x 80 cm circa) was exhibited at Fuori Salone di Milano
