Vintage Japanese Digital Illustration

Hi there!

First of all, thank you so much Pierre-Marie Postel for making this amazing course! I have learned a lot of new illustration techniques, that I will surely take with me on my illustrator/ graphic design journey! :)

I decided to join this class to challenge my creativity, while learning about vintage Japanese graphic design. I am a huge graphic design nerd myself, and don’t even get me started on my love for Japan, so with this in mind, I thought this course would be perfect for me! :) Aaaand, it sure was! :)

Anyways; here is my final project for this course. Here you will find my step by step process for making my final poster! :)

Starting of with a small sneak peak of my moodboard! I had so many pictures saved on my pinterest board, and I couldn’t possibly fit all of them into one picture to submit here, so here are some of them that inspired me the most!

Let’s start the sketching and poster designing!

When I was satisfied with the final design of my poster, I made a version suitable for Instagram and other social media, and a mock up version too!

As I said, this course was perfect for me! I had so much fun working on this project, and the classes was perfect; not too long, perfectly organized, and easy to follow along! :)
