BBVA developed a new product for retailers to offer them analyzed
information about their businesses compared to other businesses
based in geographic, segments and category data.
To provide a more suitable service that would not only answer
retailer questions, but also help them make informed decisions,
BBVA needed to define the value proposal of their product,
develop a business strategy (pricing, communication, etc.), and
identify the most appropriate target for their product.
Approach
I planned and facilitated a 6 month pilot in Madrid and Mexico City.
Participants were recruited through Lean Startup methods:
pitching to sell the product and obtaining first hand reactions and
interests.
I facilitated inicial user tests, follow up interviews and closing co-
creation sessions.
Design workshops
Ideation sessions with participants allowed us to create a product that fit SMEs needs, helping them better understand the state of business in their area and also make decisions based on what they were observing in our platform.
Results
After designing a business model for the product, Commerce 360
was launched in Spain at the end of 2015.
