Graphic design and concept for a fictional Vermouth and Tapas Bar with Spanish food located in Vienna, Austria. I created this design as the final project for the Domestika course “Brand Design for the Restaurant Industry” by VVORKROOM.
I developed all the visual identity of the restaurant: logo, color palette, fonts, etc. On the other hand, I had to create a mood board with the general mood and vibe of the place, and another one with references of the interior design. I also had to think about specific things like the uniforms of the staff or even a playlist with the music that would be playing in the bar. Last, I developed details like the design of the coasters on which the drinks would be served, or the menu for the dishes and drinks.

In order to design the project, I had to have in mind the context, the concept, the target and the type of food and drinks offered in the place. For the personality of the bar, I got inspired by the Vermouth itself. Usually in Spain we have Vermouth on Sundays, that’s why I picked that name for the place: “Domingos”. I have decided that should be in plural as a way of giving the idea that in this bar, every day can be a Domingo (Sunday). In Spain, it’s a really nice tradition (or ritual) in which you meet up with family or friends, drink vermouth and eat awesome appetizers/tapas. I also got inspired by Pedro Almodovar and his movies, with a touch of the Spanish 60s style interior design.
