Thank you, Sheila, for posting your project. You note in the captions how these have been made during the lockdown, specifically the lockdown of Covid-19, an unprecedented time in most of our lifetimes. It has been a challenging year and a half for many of us, yet it's great to see how many people have discovered or re-discovered their creativity. The work you share here has an authentic feeling, a certain heaviness and perhaps hopelessness. I like thinking about the animals you use: what does a goose (or duck) and dog represent? I'm sure we all have different interpretations. The bird, once able to fly and migrate freely, has fallen to the ground. The ever loyal dog stares out at us, curled up, looking afraid and in need of comfort. Your style is raw and free, your images poignant and emotive. I hope you continue to draw and paint and share your art.

Thank you so much! I wish I could explain how much your feedback is important for me! You read it so deeply, made me see better my own paintings. Sometimes I can’t to understand what I am doing... (but I am learning in course that we need follow our intuition and feelings, and it is helping me!). 🙏🏻❤️
