My project in Magical Photomontage in Photoshop: Creating Visual Metaphors course

My inspiration was the countryside. Living in the city, I always love trips to the country and my vision was to create a country sunset scene with a quirky difference. I liked the idea of a floating farmhouse. The farmhouse was my primary element and i added the birds as a secondary element. I felt that the image still lacked something so i added a another secondary element, a dog in the foreground watching the farmhouse levitating in the air. My light source from the sun is coming in from the right of the image. My challenge was consistently having to work out how the light effects the various elements in the image. The farmhouse also took a lot of dodging and burning to achieve the desired look. Overall I am very pleased with the final image. This course was brilliant. Understanding how to structure an image, the workflow and technical aspects of Photoshop for me was paramount.
