Sorry, this is a one page book WITH an accordion fold, which I guess, would be better suited for the other class by our teacher. Anyway, I really took this class to learn about materials, adhesives to use with various materials, and how to make a cover that will house the inside materials properly. This is my first attempt at making a one page, fold book. It is my prototype for an in progress project that will include an insert on the blank, back inside cover. I used cement glue to adhere the Japanese paper to the chipboard cover. That was fine for the outside cover but not for the inside; it seems that cement glue does not hold well onto card that has been painted with acrylics so I re-glued the front inside page with SOBO glue, which is supposed to be acid free. It seems to be holding quite well, but I will have to monitor it. Knowing your materials is key!

    Es un proyecto muy bien improvisado mezclando técnicas !! Y sí, el cemento de caucho funciona bien para superficies planas sin tensión y para adherir superficies porosas. La capa acrílica cierra esos poros.

    Realmente aprendí mucho sobre adhesivos y espaciamiento para alojar su material interior. Gracias de nuevo, por un curso bien organizado, Susana. Disfruté el proceso. Y sí, después de que el pegamento se negó a adherirse al acrílico, recordé tu lección sobre cómo se cierran los poros y cómo ciertos pegamentos no funcionan. ¡Aprendes de tus errores!
