My Training Projects During the Pandemic Year

Teacher training is something close to my heart. Before the pandemic, I had been training public school teachers to use learning systems and teaching tools. This gave me a chance to visit different schools, meet the energetic and dynamic teachers as well as supportive headmasters.

When the pandemic came, I did not realize I will be training more teachers. And I had to be creative in designing the solutions for each cohort of mentors.

To mention, first was the virtual training of tertiary faculty of a state university. I enjoyed this project because I had created different facets of skills-learning support for them.

Second, very memorable was assisting the Muslim teachers in the south of Mindanao where there was poor internet. Through collaboration with Muslim scholars, I put together a set of lessons on Arabic language and Islamic values for the primary school.

Never have I imagined that my capabilities and efforts would make a difference during the pandemic year. It was a beautiful blessing.
