My name is Mirella de Mar. Im from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
I define myself and identify myself as a feminist photographer in 35mm format
A friend gave me his grandfather's camera and from that moment connect with what the film transmits.
I always felt more identified with the film because I feel more real visually

I worked many years in fashion, I started to paint and draw and I studied film and music production I was always attracted
to the art world and each area helped me define what I do now.

I always try and investigate the way of expressing my ideas, my political and social thoughts, and above all create
a parallel world that is defined by colors and sensitivity

A year ago, I started with a project that consists in making portraits of people.
I started doing it with people close to me or the circle in which I moved in Buenos Aires,
with whom I shared ideals and in this way try to transmit through the photos the diversity of bodies,
intimacy and eroticism.

I try to capture that kind of sensitivity and at the same time what can not be seen as
the dark, the hidden, the nostalgic, that we also have inside human beings.

I like that my photos take you through a world of endeavor where everything seems a fantasy but at the same time
you feel a certain intimacy and nostalgia.
