Elaine Ashford

I live near the Gower in Wales UK. I love the sea, clouds and walking my dog. I’m forever taking photos of this and that when I’m well enough to go out. I’m a retired secondary teacher in resistant materials cooking, also taught ict.
I have a degree in stained glass, I use epoxy in art work and jewellery, along with creating fine silver jewellery. I find creating exciting and frustrating but I love it, I exported a large round window to the Phillipines a few years ago which depicts coi carp, the underwater stones and vegetation, the customer has it installed at the bottom of her magnificent marble staircase, what a wonderful project that turned out just right.
I’ve been doing Arty stuff all my life but haven’t really moved forward in any respect, before now I’ve not had any education in what or how to do anything, I just get stuck in and if it looks good I wrap it and keep it or give it away or bin it!
I’m a widow with a truly wonderful son that is so much like his dad just a bit taller.
One dog two cats and living in a picturesque area. I’m enjoying my first tutorial and have learnt so much already about light and colour.
