Kruthika Ganesh

I am an archaeologist from India. I am currently pursuing a second masters degree in the Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Program of Architecture, Landscape and Archaeology. My initial research experience has to do with archaeological studies in ancient metallurgy as well as evolution of music. Over time, I had a realisation that the field of archaeology has no real public appeal as it continues to grow only academically, at least in the case of India. Hence, I looked for an opportunity to learn about how to integrate archaeology into larger schemes of active society. And I found the above mentioned course which is taught in Rome, Athens, Coimbra and Naples. This course has put me in a position to collaborate with architects. One thing I have learned in the last six months of the course is the importance and power of visual representation as opposed to words, which I am usually comfortable with. Hence, this course. I intend to learn how to be able to visually express many ideas I have.
