This course was so much fun! I was able to nurture drawing skills I didn’t know I was capable of. Excellent teacher, great content, and I really benefited from the exercises and additional resources. This is a course I could come back to several times and continue to learn from.

This course is for those who want to learn more about how to use various types of charcoal and related materials. Also for those who want to incorporate portraiture in their works. The most important lesson IMO is the section on composition. That part alone is worth investing in. Thank you Sarah!
This is a good course if you were looking to take your standard charcoal portraits and make them more expressive and personalized. I do like the way that she emphasizes on value and expression, I would highly recommend this for anyone. That’s already doing charcoal portraits. I’m not really a fan of using the grid method when it comes to drawing and charcoal, I tend to use shapes and shadows, but nonetheless a great teaching.
Sarah is an excellent instructor. I've taken several classes with her and really enjoy her style of teaching. Highly recommended!
