I am an enthusiastic home cook. I am retired so now have more time to explore cookbooks and experiment. I am devoted to fresh ingredients, going to the farmer's market when possible and growing my own herbs. (I fail as any kind of vegetable gardener). I am interested in combining family history, lore and recipes to hand down to friends and family. I also want to keep it light. I live in fly-over country in the United States.
