Xavier Mula

Xavier Mula Ferrer, was born in Igualada ( Barcelona/ Spain ) in 1983, son of a drawing and graphic designer.

Since I was a child, always surrounded by pencils and papers, I was spent long time watching my father using the airbrush and cutting vinyl colors doing posters.

As should be, over the years, my vocation became artistic and, after finish my Baccalaureate Art and Graphic design at the School of Igualada Gaspar Camps, I discovered a world that fascinated me, the illustration. I also studied the Advanced Vocational Training course in Illustration at Escola Massana, one of the most importants Art schools of Barcelona. I understand at this moment that my happiness was to be intimately linked to he illustration even knowing that in the art, this is one of the most complicated specializations. While working as a graphic designer for graphic arts company and started writing my first illustrations, I took advanced studies of Web Design at the Espai School of Barcelona and a advanced specialization in illustration of children’s albums in Escola de la Dona Bonnemaison of Barcelona with illustrators like Ignasi Blanch and Roger Olmos.

Today I working as an freelance illustrator and graphic designer in publishing industry ( book covers, newspapers, magazines, councils…), world of advertising, for design studies and personal projects, etc.

My CV includes locally and national awards in contests posters and illustrations. I have also participated in numerous group exhibitions with renowned illustrators.
