The animal protection legislation in the European Union needs to get a lot better. For instance - fish are still not included and protected in the animal welfare laws. Hens are still trapped in minimal cages without the possibility to spread their wings and there needs to be a stop of cruel transports of animals to slaughter when you can instead transport the meat.
