This is the short comic I created for the course by María Luque on creating and developing graphic novels; the prompt was "the fist time I saw...", so here it is :)
Congratulations on so many finished pages! I'm glad that the slogan "the first time I saw" inspired this story. I think the pages have a lot of dynamism, due to the composition and also due to the story, which has us in a hurry, following the speed of the characters. I think it's a good start to the story, it leaves us with many intrigues and wanting to know more, to continue reading. What's going to happen to Amanda? It is pure mystery, they make you want to know more about his personality, what he does and what he has planned once they arrive at the airport. There is also the intrigue of what was the initial plan, where was that train going? I hope you continue with the story!
@mariajluque Ohhhh, thank you so much for your detailed feedback! I am so happy you liked the story * - * I am frankly intrigued too, I have no idea about what will happen once they arrive to the airport, I haven't thought so far, ahahaha! I really hope to be able to go on with the story :) Thank you so much for this amazing course, I learned a lot about the development of graphic novels, especially the part about getting the ideas, which has always been my weakness (I started going around with a small journal where I take note about all the small things, I love it!) <3 Also, I didn't know your work before and I adore your style, I think I will buy all your graphic novels :D Cheers! Miriam
I have loved the story, I think the characters are very well constructed and in so few pages it gets hooked on the reading of what happens (something that seems really difficult to achieve). I was especially surprised by how you have counted on the image the appearance of the security guards and the tension that it creates without saying anything, simply seeing their presence from afar and the reader already perceives that there is danger.
Congratulations, I hope you continue it, yes.

@mar_blanco ohhhh, thank you so much for this comment! It is really important for me to have feedback on what I do, thank you for taking the time :) I hope to be able to continue their story, I kinda got attached to these characters and I didn't think it could happen drawing just 6 pages (the other short comics I did are about myself or my family, so it is the first time I create a story for made up characters). I love your creations, by the way! Cheers, Miriam
Hi, I really like your comic too, it has really nice colours and I love the detail of the train station on the first page. I hope you continue it too, I definitely want to know what happened next! What did you use to do the colours please, I would really like to use the same material. Thanks : )
@tamgp Thank you so much! I am glad you liked my comic :) To create it I used watercolour and coloured pencils for details, as well as a black ink brush and ink pen :) cheers!
