My project in Architectural Illustration: Capture a City’s Personality course

I've really enjoyed your course, Carlo! I'm a fellow architect + illustrator, but I've always kept the two jobs very separate. This course has been a real eye-opener on how to have fun fusing the two careers.
My final image is of a 17th Century pub in Bristol called the Llandoger Trow. Rumoured to be haunted(?) and to have been frequented by pirates (including Blackbeard himself!), there were plenty of opportunities to express a little history in the image. For example, the tree casts a shadow across the courtyard of a pirate ship mast.

Digging into the history of the pub I found old photos that showed two more gables to the left, that were destroyed during the war. Using the photos as a guide I've incorporated them into the drawing but in a more ethereal way.

The final significant feature of the drawing is the seagulls. Their screeching dominated my time sketching the building so they simply had to have a starring role in the image.
Once again, you've created a super course Carlo! Any advice for improvement to my image would be massively appreciated.
Thanks,
Jo

Hi Jo! Sorry for the late reply, I am traveling and did not find the time to see the tasks!
I must say that your work is wonderful! The quality, the inspiration, the originality and creativity with the tree-birds movement that makes all the picture so dynamic! Really well done! Maybe you could add some people, but it works already very well like this! Congratulations!!!!! I am so happy you are able to combine your two Daimons!!! Go on and enjoy your skills and your new yourself!
Hi @carlo_stanga ,
