'The Land that I'm Bound too' - what a provocative set of words.
I have been commissioned by the Duke of Richmond to document life on Goodwood estate and have been working on this for the last year or so. Its a project that is a dream come true, not only because I live about 20 minutes away but because really what isnt there to like about walking around the country taking a few pictures! in 15 images I cant really show the depth of material the different techniques etc but only use this, again, as a pointer to how to put together a story. Something I will be covering when my course is filmed when the world returns from this outbreak.
I would recommend that people look at my website to get a bigger and better take on this project. However what I would say is that taking ones time, getting to know people is absolutely key as I keep saying photography is easy but access is the hardest thing to get..
Plus quite a cool story, the Dukes mother said to me one day that i must be very pleased to be doing this project? I responded by saying actually I feel honoured! umm, yes I suppose you should because that last person we commissioned to document the estate was George Stubbs in 1750!! (Stubbs was a great British painter).
