Thanks for posting your project. What I like most about this session is that it is dynamic, the subject moves, reacts to different situations, is inside, outside ... however, to give you something to improve, I leave with the feeling of not having found myself with her. The shots are almost sneaky, like stolen. Did you try to stand in front of her and make her look at the camera for a long time? If you did, did you not like the result? If you didn't, why was it? Were you ashamed (which is totally normal)? By the way, the penultimate photo is particularly pretty.
Hi Lupe. Thanks for your comment. We started the session with the interview and it turned out that in the location we had chosen, the power went out much earlier than it would have been good for us. So we ended up in his yard and then out on the street. In the rush or I don't know why I got lost and she gave me little time to make her pose. In general, I made her look at the camera a little, it gave me the feeling that there was more tension when she did it (maybe unconsciously it cost me more). Even so, I have photos in which he looks at the camera but checking them on the computer, the expression was very tense in all of them, especially the eyebrows raised, which I did not correct at the time because I did not realize it. The truth is that the session flew by and I didn't even have time to think if something was missing.
Yes, when you look at the camera there is more tension, you perceived it well, but there is the challenge! You have to endure the tension and when she realizes that it is not difficult for you, that you are holding it, she will relax as well. In the next session that you do, make sure you look at the camera a lot and do not be afraid of the difficulty that you are going to find, even if the photos are more tense: tension can also have beauty.
As for the speed with which it happens, it happens to me too, I have become used to forcing myself every so often to mentally review what I have done and if I am missing something that I will later miss.
