These mailboxes when are they going to put them in? Incredible the idea of wifi and postcards. It is utterly lazy to go buy postcards at the kiosk ... I don't send postcards or letters for that reason.
Go ahead, I like it but if I can make a constructive - constructive - criticism, I would say that I think it is very exposed to environmental adversity, rain, snow, etc.
Faced with these factors, certain functions are very unusable and efficiency is lost. The selection of materials supposes a radical change and I think that it is very valuable and is very good although plastic I do not know if it is the most correct option, from my point of view, for this type of products, however as I said, it is very well.
Hi Oz,
Thanks for your criticism. The subject of changing the material of the mailbox we know is risky, but we have an important reason for doing it. Since we wanted people to have a more direct interaction with the mailbox, which was not simply a container where to deposit letters but where you could stop to write, the change of material was essential, since writing on a metal surface, especially in Summer, you can imagine it is not very pleasant. The plastic that we have chosen is used a lot for example in playgrounds because it has a very nice touch, exactly what we were looking for. What I do not understand very well about it being very exposed to inclement weather ... obviously any object of this type that is outside is exposed ... by means of the shape and a small rain gutter we try to protect the card collection slots , stamps, etc. and the slot to introduce the mail. I'm glad you liked our proposal! :)
It seems to me an innovative project and in accordance with current technologies, it is original and changes the concept of the traditional menu a bit. I hope it encourages us to write again with all the letters and long and hard, that is, the epistolary communication
Hi
I like the style of this project and especially the layout of the space.
I think there is an attractive set but as drawbacks I agree
with oZ in that it is very exposed to environmental adversities, in addition
I find the shapes of the mailbox somewhat rough, resulting in a somewhat cold object.
Hello mubaaa,
Thanks for your comment. The shape of our mailbox, more than abrupt, would define it as more forceful and with a strong presence. We believe that one of the strengths of our proposal is that we maintain more or less the proportions of the original mailbox and its essence as a container. We didn't want to go down the road of making a slim and stylish object, as if it tended to bother as little as possible by losing weight, but losing personality in that way. When we started to design our mailbox, as a reference we did not take the typical cylindrical mailbox that we all think of first, but the other type of rectangular shaped mailbox that is also in Spain. Our mailbox is a formal reinterpretation of this one, in which the head is turned a little as a funny gesture and all the accessory is removed. In this way, it is also resolved where to position the new elements of the mailbox and it is given that new functionality of being able to use it as a support element to write.

Hi Cecilko
The rectangular mailbox is more forceful, although you have managed to make it friendly,
I have chosen the cylindrical model that is more iconic.
