Marc! Nice job! I like the structuring work, you are very meticulous:) I think that the light you chose for the photo has been your biggest obstacle; the diffuse shadow pattern dissolves the contrast and weakens the sense of form. I think next time with a good photo (good light) you will be able to explore the three-dimensional shape much more carefully.
@diego_catalan Thank you for your comment. I have learned much more than expected with your course. Indeed, the photograph that I chose was not the best to be able to advise an excellent result for the course ... although I liked the expression precisely of this one! My initial thought was to add layers of darkness to the background with charcoal to be able to play with the chiaroscuro and thus with that contrast to be able to bring the brightness further forward which, in turn, would give me more depth and a more gloomy appearance similar to the one in the photo . Well, the point is that in the end I did not do it ... although I do not know if I had achieved the three-dimensionality that you count ... That said, I was satisfied with the drawing and, of course, also with the course!
On the other hand, I do not know if you have never considered taking an initiation course in oil where to talk about materials, light, color, perspectives, etc ... if you take it out, count on me as a student;) ... to my almost 40 springs I'm still in the learning phase :)
