THE CHALLENGE
The Eli Lilly dermatology department recently hired a photographer to teach a group of dermatologists the basics of digital photography to document their research. After she had drafted a Word document with all her notes and hand drawn diagrams, I was asked to use the content to create a more polished and professional-looking booklet.
THE SOLUTION
Two different visual styles were concepted and submitted to the customer: one more fun and cartoonish and the other more serious and elegant. A small camera shutter icon was also created, and placed in the top right corner of each spread to make navigations through the large document and its chapters easier.
THE RESULT
The client chose the lighter options, and I created a 72-page booklet that is visually engaging, fun and colourful and that will serve as a handy guide to help Eli Lilly dermatologists and other users throughout the organisation create sharper, clearer digital photographs.
