A gamification for the young people of the Raval
Collaborative project to improve the behaviours of the young people who assists the Casal Atlas, in the Raval. To do so, we created a game based in a storytelling where they should attend all the activities in order to get points or money and unlock clues that would let them solve the mistery.
This project is focused on meeting some of the needs of the Casal Jove Atlas, situated in the Raval, which is a space for the young people of the neighborhood to go to spend their time, to receive help with their studies or to carry out some recreational activities. For this reason, the activities that are carried out in this center have been gamified, meaning to transform into fun some actions that in the beginning were not. A game has been developed based on the requirements of the Casal, taking into account all their characteristics and those of its members. This game has also been developed in the form of physical elements and a web page, so that the members of the center can start making use of it once the project finished.
In this project games, psychology, narrative and programming are joined together to arrive at a solution that will help the Casal Atlas to improve the conditions that are currently being given.
I had two roles in this project: Game Designer and Web Developer.
We used techniques such as Gamified Focus Groups, surveys and interviews to get all the necessary information from our final users. To design the gamification we used the Gamification Model Canvas.
